NOTICE TO THE BAR
Appellate Division Procedures
Please be advised that effective July 1, 2013, the Appellate Division Clerk’s Office will be strictly enforcing the following procedures:
1. Unless the time is tolled pursuant to R. 2:4-3, notices of appeal received after the 45-day periods set forth in R. 2:4-1 will not be filed without a motion to file as within time pursuant to R. 2:4-4.
2. Motions for leave to appeal received after the 20-day periods set forth in R. 2:5-6 will not be filed without a motion to file as within time pursuant to R. 2:4-4.
3. Motions for reconsideration received after the 10-day period set forth in R. 2:11-6 will not be filed without a motion to file as within time.
4. Formal briefs that exceed the page limits set forth in R. 2:6-7 will not be filed.
5. Letter briefs that exceed the 20-page limit set forth in R. 2:6-2 will not be filed.
6. Motion briefs that exceed the 25-page limit set forth in R. 2:8-1 will not be filed.
7. Briefs that contain a preliminary statement that exceeds the 3-page limit set forth in R. 2:6-2 will not be filed.
